Gear Up for Earth Day: It's Time to Tackle Plastic!


Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22nd, is a global movement rallying for environmental protection. This year's theme, "Planet vs. Plastics," highlights the pressing issue of plastic pollution.

Earth Day started in 1970 and has since grown into a massive event, mobilizing billions of people worldwide.  The day raises awareness about environmental challenges and inspires action to create a healthier planet.

Plastic pollution is a major threat to our ecosystems, harming wildlife and entering the food chain.  Earth Day 2024 coincides with crucial negotiations for a global plastics treaty. This international agreement aims to regulate plastic production and waste management.

So how can you participate in Earth Day? There are many ways to get involved! Organize a community clean-up, reduce your plastic consumption, or spread awareness about the issue. By working together, we can create a cleaner, plastic-free future for our planet.
